So, I'm sitting in the bacon labs this weekend, watching the latest batch of custom BaconPeople orders create themselves and thought, oh, wow, this could really be a business.

To which I then quickly thought, "Well, duh, what the fu*k have you been doing these last three years with this project?"

To which I then replied to myself, "I don't know, I've just been having fun with it."

To which my other self replied, "Oh, cool. Well, you could probably do this as a fun business if you wanted."

As you can see, I have a LOT of alone time in the studio. Quiet time for conversations in my head and time for Divine Inspiration to come down and shower me with thoughts of the latest and greatest handcrafted swiney inventions. (Hey, inspiration is inspiration, right? Some people get killer chops like Whitney Houston RIP, others get the ability to make...BaconPeople)

So as I looked around the studio this weekend... and at the Creative License that comes with each BaconPerson I realized.. that this project has allowed me to just create for the sake of creating.

As an ex-rocket scientist and constant overachiever, it's been exhilarating to give myself the freedom to create just for fun, with no end goal. Just to freaking make stuff with and for my friends that makes us laugh and in turn makes their friends laugh and their friends laugh.. you get the picture. At the end of this maybe we will all just be falling down with laughter as bacon grease drips from our fingers (hmm, that last part was kind of gross).

I woke up this morning, made some bacon, and checked on our Baconeers in Facecrack land. And well, Sizzle my biscuits! I found all this chatter on the Facecrack machine regarding some SOPA/PIPA stuff. I used to be a rocket scientist and let me tell ya, in those two years I had my fill of acronyms... but these SOPA/PIPA acronyms came in the same sentences as shutting down the internets/censorship and other ideas that suck.

We had a blast at the Seattle VA Puget Sound Fisher House last weekend with our top secret sauce Bacon Photo Shoot. We are getting a 2012 calendar in the works ....all proceeds benefit the Seattle Fisher House which is an amazing organization that provides housing for veterans and their families while getting treated at the VA.

Having a loved one in the hospital sucks and there are only two things that can make it better.... the magic of community at the Fisher House and...of course, BACON!
